Here in Scotland back in 2018, we experienced the Beast from the East - a huge snowstorm that brought the place to a grinding halt. On this day I had to walk from home to the SECC to attend the Wave & Tidal conference.

This was the scene I arrived at.. more red cones (just what I love)..

But it never fails to amaze me how much a heavy snow shower can make a whole city fall silent.
